Limited funding opportunities are available to students who wish to participate in our project each June and July.  Undergraduate and Post-Graduate students at Queen’s University or at the University of Waterloo may apply to participate in our research team.

BA students whom we accept receive three university credits, and training at Herstmonceux in archaeology, conservation, and archival research.  They also receive a funding package to defer some or all of the costs associated with their training (including, potentially, tuition, airfare to/from the UK, meals, and accommodations).

MA and PhD candidates who wish to participate in our project may also apply for a funded leadership opportunity on our summer dig site.  Successful MA and PhD applicants will receive mentoring in archaeology, conservation, and archives, and will participate in some aspect of our original research with an eye toward authoring or co-authoring an article, delivering a conference paper, or making some other original contribution to scholarship.
