Enrollment procedure

Step 1: Complete and submit the paperwork to receive a Letter of Permission from the University of Waterloo. This will ensure that, once you complete the course through Queen’s, you will receive an equivalent credit on your UW undergraduate transcript.

Step 2: Register for the course through Queen’s. Information is available here. Address any application questions to Mr. Jacob Turcotte (jacob.turcotte@queensu.ca) and be sure to CC Dr. Caley McCarthy (caley.mccarthy@uwaterloo.ca) and Professor Steven Bednarski (stevenb@uwaterloo.ca).

Step 3: Pay fee to Queen’s.

Step 4: Send proof of registration and payment, and your DRAGEN Lab scholarship application to Caley McCarthy (caley.mccarthy@uwaterloo.ca)

• DRAGEN Lab scholarships are worth up to $4,500. Your application should be max one page and outline your interest in participating in the project, financial need, and prior experience.

Once arrival and departure dates are confirmed, you must also book your return airfare. You will also be required to complete mandatory online safety training through Waterloo International and to comply with all procedures outlined by the Waterloo Study Abroad office. More details will follow on these steps once you have completed your registration process.
